This collection explores the destruction of identity
through language and is inspired by the novel La Plaça del
Diamant (The Pigeon Girl), written by Mercè Rodoreda. Rodoreda was a
Catalan author who was forced into exile during the dictatorship in order
to continue writing in her native language.
